COVID-19 Emergency Fund
As we plan for recovery from COVID-19, Peel Children’s Aid Foundation is taking action to adapt and enhance programming to support the significant increase in requests from vulnerable children, youth, and families in the Region of Peel. Peel Children's Aid Foundation must raise an additional $200,000 as a Recovery Fund to support children, youth, and families involved with Peel Children’s Aid Society. Families we work with are overwhelmed with challenges such as poverty, unemployment, ill-health, domestic violence, mental health, or caring for a child who has serious physical, emotional, or developmental difficulties.
We need our community’s support to help us ensure Peel Children’s Aid Foundation continues to be “the helpers” as our children, youth, and families fight to survive COVID-19.
Your contribution will go towards the following:
Participation in organized sports such as swimming, baseball, or basketball.
Music lessons and art classes.
Bursaries for post-secondary education.
Backpacks filled with school supplies.
Holiday gifts.
Brand new clothing, grocery gift cards, toiletries, and infant supplies.
COVID-19 safety kits.
Tech devices.
Life skills such as financial literacy, resume building, budgeting, cooking, etc.

Donor Spotlight
Peel Children’s Aid Foundation is thrilled to share that we are working alongside Amazon Canada to ensure that no child or youth is left behind in Peel Region. In November 2021, Amazon Fulfillment Centre – YYZ1 hosted an outdoor Harvest Festival to give back to its employees, their families, and their communities. With more than two thousand employees working in this building, and more than 11,000 employees in the Region of Peel, Mississauga Mayor Crombie was pleased to take part in this celebration to help launch Peel Children’s Aid Foundation’s Holiday Wishes Program. To-date over $65,000 was donated to our Holiday Wishes Program and Warm Beverage Stand Campaign. Amazon Canada also donates bi-weekly shipments of gifts in-kind to our Distribution Centre that provides essential items to vulnerable children, youth, and families involved with Peel Children's Aid Society and the child welfare system all year round. We are grateful to Amazon Canada for giving back to the Peel community to better support our families' basic needs and to promote opportunity and economic mobility.
